Costs can and do vary! The price starts
at $75.45 for each Minnesota Birth Certificate, which includes one certified
copy of the Birth Certificate. There is a minimum $10.00 charge for each
additional certified copy ordered at the same time. We will be expediting your
request so the cost might be higher. The state can and does change its prices

Turnaround Times for Minnesota are 3 to 5
business days. This can depend on how busy the state records office is at the
time when you make your application. We expedite every application, BUT we do
not own these records, and we are dependant on the records repositories to

Record Availability - records are available from 1908 to present.
Records prior to 1908 may be available, however they have to be recovered from
archive and the turnaround time may be significantly longer.
If you would like to rush your request then there will be an additional charge
of $20.00.
A signed release may be required to obtain a copy of the Birth Certificate.
Minnesota states that Birth Certificates are only available to the following
individuals:
- Person Named on the
Certificate
- Mother/Father (or Legal
Guardian)
- Husband/Wife of Person
Named on Certificate
- Son/Daughter of Person
Named on Certificate
- Sister/Brother of Person
Named on Certificate
- Legal Representative of an
Authorized Person
- Individuals with a
legitimate and legal reason to search for genealogical purposes
Delivery Time: Results are sent to you by
regular USPS mail, or they can be faxed on request. We cannot guarantee
turnaround time as we are dependent on the state getting back to us in a timely
fashion, and this can vary widely with the load that the records office is
experiencing. County offices have limited personnel and are often swamped
with paper work.

Credit card fraud is an ongoing problem. For unsubstantiated, contested, or fraudulent credit card charges, there will be an additional $25.00 MINIMUM processing charge, PLUS collection and legal fees, IF incurred. If you call to cancel your order BEFORE the order is processed, then there will be a $15 cancellation charge assessed. BUT please be advised that ONCE your request has been transmitted to our researchers it is NOT possible for us to cancel the charges, or change or expedite the order.
